DOGSHOW! is a sculptural installation by Price paired with a 5 minute video projection of the same name. The work began as a fascination with leather hide stretchers and the often grotesque efforts of mankind to prolong life and biology beyond its inherent limits. The use of leather in the creation of “luxury” products began a path of research extending from Soviet era experiments like “Experiments in the Revival of Organisms” to The Westminster Dog Show. The common themes DOGSHOW! strives to convey are the same, a pursuit of “perfection” resulting in uncanny perversion.

DOGSHOW! was created for 4rth term Art Structures & Systems class at Art Center College of Design, 2022.
